I am currently serving as an Aerospace Medicine Physician Assistant with the 116 MDG/ DET 1 of the Georgia Air National Guard.  I began my military career in the Army serving as a Unit Supply Specialist for  3+ years where I was blessed to have met and married my husband of 30+ years.  While traveling with my husband, as he served 20 years in the Army, I became a mother and a Physician Assistant.  For the past 16 years I have had the honor and privilege of serving as a Primary Care provider for Soldiers, Marines and their families in various settings at Fort Benning, GA.   5 years ago I found myself with an empty nest, looking for an adventure and a desire to serve my country once again.  After a 25+ year break in service the GAANG gave me that opportunity.  In 2019, I was afforded the chance to complete all 3 levels of the Aerospace Medicine Program, train and participate in my first CERFP Exercise Evaluation and recently mobilized as part of a Joint Task Force in response to the COVID 19 Pandemic.  I look forward to serving as a part of SAFPA and continue to promote Physician Assistants within the military and civilian sectors.
