Mumbi Ngugi is the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) Phase II Site Clinical Program Director at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi.
Ngugi was commissioned in the USAF and awarded the health professions scholarship (HPSP) while attending Physician Assistant graduate program in 2010. Prior to her current position she served in family health clinic at Ramstein Air Force base, Germany and Maxwell Air Force base, Alabama, and flight medicine clinic at Osan Air Base, Korea.
She is an active participant of the Air Force Culture and Language Center’s Language Enabled Airman Program (LEAP) and has been awarded the special identifier for Swahili language. She has also been awarded the International Health Specialist (IHS) special identifier. She participated in the joint training exercise Africa Partnership Flight in June 2016 as part of the LEAP program. She enjoys traveling and reading and is a peer reviewer for JAAPA.
