Capt Ovington joined the USAF Air National Guard as a direct accession. She is currently serving with the 113thMedical Group in the DC Air National Guard at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. Capt Ovington has completed all three AMP classes and is an active provider for Team Aerospace and Flight Medicine. Capt Ovington’s civilian job is in Surgery where she is first-assist in several types of surgeries, from knee replacements to C-sections. She also manages post-operative care for general surgery patients. Capt Ovington has 2 college-age children and she celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary with her husband Matt in September. She is currently training for the Marine Corps Marathon this October.
